What to do in Today's Economy

Hi all,

With the weak job market out there today it is essential for people who have no marketable skills, and maybe those who do, to have a backup plan.

Let's face it, these are some really tough economic times.  There are a lot of companies going out of business, or just trimming down their staff. I heard on the news that our nation was laying off another 60,000 people, that's a small town.

What happens if it's you and your company you work for?  Maybe you are already one of the 60,000 reading this blog.  If you are, what now?

The only real job security out there is to have your own business.  And in a lot of cases having your own business won't save you either.  Statistics show that most businesses fail within 5 years.

This is mainly do to spending more money on the business then you’re bringing in.  A guy or gal starts their own business, get's the licensing, buy's any necessary equipment, and sometimes even has to rent some space for the business to get seen. Then there are the marketing costs involved.  Radio, newspaper, and sometimes even television to get customers.

The start up cost alone could reach into the thousands of dollars.  And there is no guarantee that the business will be successful.  No wonder so many businesses go under.

But there is a safe business to get into with very low (if any) start up cost.

It's Internet Marketing.

When I started my own Internet Marketing Business, I started with no money out of pocket. It is a slower process than if you had money to invest in your business, but a lack of money does not have to stop you. The only thing that can stop you is a lack of doing, or getting discouraged when the money doesn't roll in as fast as you (or someone you know) thinks it should so you quit before you ever start.

And in these economic times it is better to get the ball rolling before you lose your job, before the unemployment runs out. Now is the time to learn this profession, take it serious and treat it like a real business.

The Internet is a giant marketplace where you can sell anything you want to millions and millions of people.  There are hundreds of companies that you can market their products or services and get a commission.  I even have products that I pay 75% commission to anyone who sells them.

When you get your products or information out there in front of what could be billions of people, it acts like a snow ball. As you continue to work your business and add more dynamic to it, it begins to take on a life of its own.

Once this happens you can literally take a month off and you will still have money flowing to your bank account.

So what should you do?  Learn this business.  Read everything you can about internet marketing.  Sign up for newsletters about online marketing.  Take action today.  Even if it's just reading something that will get you closer to your goals.

And most of all, don't ever quit!  I am sure you have heard the saying that most people quit just one step away from success.

Don't let that be you....
